Activating your eSIM plan on your iPhone or iPad is simple. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Steps to Activate:
Open Settings: Launch the "Settings" app on your device.
Go to Cellular Settings: Tap on the "Cellular" section (or "Mobile" or "Mobile Service") in the settings menu.
Enable Cellular Data: Ensure "Cellular Data" is turned on to access mobile networks.
Add eSIM:
Under "Cellular Plans," tap "Add eSIM" to start the installation. Your device’s camera will open.
Scan QR Code: Use your camera to scan the QR code provided by your carrier.
Enter Details Manually: If no QR code is available:
Tap "Enter Details Manually" at the bottom of the camera screen.
Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code shown in your account.
Leave the Confirmation Code blank (it’s not required).
Tap Next in the top right corner and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Select eSIM for Data: Once added, choose the eSIM as your primary option for cellular data if you have multiple eSIMs installed.
Enable Data Roaming: Turn on "Data Roaming" to access network services globally (roaming charges may apply).
Troubleshooting Tip:
If you see an error like "Unable to Activate eSIM", it may already be installed. Check your phone’s settings under Cellular Plans to confirm.
Additional Tips:
Access the “How to Activate eSIM Data Plan” guide within the app under My Profile > Settings for more details. Alternatively, you can also find the Guide icon at the bottom-right corner of the "Discover" screen.
